What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are the volatile liquids that are distilled from plants and other plant parts. They are known as the essence of the plant. They have been used by people for thousands of years for a wide array of purposes from medicinal, to beauty and even spiritual healing. Are all Essential Oils the same? NO!!! In order to receive the therapeutic benefits provided by essential oils they need to be PURE, THERAPEUTIC GRADE Oils. It will be clearly labelled on the bottle if they are. Using anything less risks not only little to no intended benefit, but actual harm when used therapeutically. ie ingesting etc. Pure, Therapeutic Grade Oils are more expensive, but less is needed to achieve the desired results. Many other factors contribute to the quality of the oil like, the distillation method, soil quality, geographic location, fertilizers used and even harvest time to name a few.
