My name is Kristi Bueckert. I am located in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
The beginning of my zeal for photography started with, believe it or not, America’s Next Top Model. I know, reality television can be annoying, but when I was fourteen-years-old it was my favourite show. I loved all the bizarre photoshoot ideas that made me look forward to the next crazy concept Tyra Banks and her creative team would concoct! Eventually, my younger sister became my model for most of my teen years. We did everything from Fairy Princess, Hippie Chic, to Jungle Fierce. It was our favourite past-time. When graduation came along I was at a loss for what direction to take, until I purchased my first DSLR camera. It was like coming home after a long trip and I couldn’t imagine going to school for anything else. There was no plan B. I began learning and gaining education through the Red Deer College, The Online Photography Institute, as well as shadowing established local wedding photographers. When I felt I had the confidence and knowledge to go out on my own, I took the leap! I have to admit, I was terrified when I shot my first few weddings, but now I go into a wedding with ease of mind and excitement. I look forward to meeting you, so go ahead and shoot me a note!
