As 4C Chair (Concerned Citizens Community Committee), I am happy to announce that The McCloskey Project has been energized. The 4C Digital Film & Arts Association Of Ontario (not for profit) has signed a lease with Last Resort Productions Ltd. to establish a video studio at The McCloskey.
The intention is to invite volunteers to the board and pursue funding and grants to enable a co-op of seniors and youth to produce an entertaining video to describe a future resource and vision in North Dundas. The goal is to create self-employment in a co-op situation and describe an economic path for North Dundas. The film, Neighbours And Neighbourhood, will establish the principles and details being pursued. A second goal is to create an Internet streamed half-hour political satire using the bar, food, musical and theatrical settings at the historic Hotel. Much like Corner Gas. I encourage comments and feedback, particularly to take the rest of the Winter to anticipate a Springtime achievement of the vehicle of change, the studio.
