Music for Young Children

Music for Young Children is a wonderful child-centered music-learning system that integrates keyboard, creative movement, rhythm, singing, ear training, sight reading, music theory and composition for children ages 3-8. Small class sizes ensure low teacher-student ratios and encourage constructive social interaction among children. MYC's interactive system motivates and engages parents and children, nurturing family bonds and delivering valuable co-learning experiences. MYC helps children and parents develop a firm, fundamental understanding of music. As a teacher of Music for Young Children, Kathy Schmidt has the following qualifications: Associate Diploma (Conservatory Canada), Ontario Registered Music Teacher, Early Childhood Music Education, Bachelor of Science with a focus on Neuroscience and Kinesiology. Kathy has been teaching Music for Young Children in Thunder Bay for 17 years. She also has a large private studio teaching piano to all ages and levels of performance.
