Beekeepers and artisans Stella Sehn and Sheldon Hill raise their three children – and enough bees to occupy 400 hives – in the peaceful prairie community of Porcupine Plain. Their natural honey is hand-packed, their honey pots hand-labelled, their candles and lip balms handmade. Selling directly to the buyer over the Internet allows them to offer fair-trade products at affordable prices.
SWEET PURE HONEY Sweet Pure Honey is proud to be one of the earliest apiaries to support the Fair Trade movement. We are passionate and dedicated to ensuring all farmers are paid fair value for thier crops. Our Canadian White Honey is harvested and packed fresh for our customers, while creating sustainable farming oppurtunities for our family and community. Sweet Pure Honey is the unprocessed, concentrated nectar of flowers. From the field to the warehouse, our raw honey is extracted, hand poured into jars, and frozen where it sets up naturally to a white spreadable honey butter. Our bees cover a variety of crops throughout our prairie lands. The health-giving antioxidants and heady floral flavours of alfalfa, red clover, sweet clover, canola, borage and wild blooms are in every jar of Sweet Pure Honey. Containing flower pollen, concentrations of nutrients and propolis it is a wholesome sweetener. BEESWAX 100% natural beeswax directly collected from the hive. Honeybees consume honey and make the wax from the nectar of crops and wildflowers native to our area. Sweet Pure Honey beeswax, with all natural properties in tact, ranges from deep yellow to dark yellow in colour, while retaining its sweet honey scent. This raw beeswax, is unfiltered, and not refined. It contains pollen, traces of honey, and propolis.
