Safeway is definitely my favourite store to shop for groceries. The staff is held to a high standard and are always polite, friendly, courteous, and knowledgable. There are many weekly sales, and the items are rarely out of stock. If this does occur, a rain cheque is issued when asked for. Airmiles are awarded 1 for every $20 spent, and specific products and promotions are offered weekly for bonus Airmiles. On the first Tuesday of every month, customers have the option of receiving 10x the Airmiles or 10% of their purchase. Timing your grocery shops with this promo can make a big difference on your bottom line.
