Description

Our restaurant has been open for almost two years, and I am proud to say our efforts in the kitchen and with servers has paid off. We are more organized and efficient than ever. My crew of people here at D&S are, simply put, "awesome."
The food is more delicious than ever. Our new chef always surprises me with something more interesting and tasty than the time before. His creativity and skill is exceptional, and knows no limit. We have a new menu which is exciting and interesting, with expanded BBQ selections, and more delicious home cooked meals. We can also do parties in house for up to 100 people. We are also a licensed establishment with an eye to family's young and old, who love the food.

This is a great place if you've got a car and love barbecue. We went on a Saturday night to find the restaurant busy, but still able to accommodate us without a wait. It's a very big restaurant; the dining area is divided into several sections that make it feel more comfortable and relaxed. There is a good variety of barbecue fare on the menu and the portions are very generous. The prices are very reasonable - they're low compared to regular prices in Ottawa, but you also have to head a little way out of town to get to the restaurant, which I guess makes up the difference. Our waiter was very friendly and offered us menu suggestions when we had difficulty deciding what to order. I had the chicken leg, which was moist and had a lovely tangy taste. My partner had a mixed platter, featuring an enormous "armadillo egg" (cheese stuffed jalapeno wrapped in sausage and smoked), brisket and a chicken leg. We will definitely go back.
