Description

Back in the Edo period (1600-1900), Sakayas Japanese liquor shops that provided patrons with a place to stay warm while drinking. During this period, there were comparatively more single men than women, and so Izakayas became popular venues for casual dining and heavy drinking.
This first Guu Izakaya in Toronto was established in the winter of 2009. Long line-ups in the bone-chillingly cold Toronto nights were a common sight outside of Izakaya. Everyone wants a piece! Come visit us today for a Japanese dining experience that you will never forget.

This place had such a cool dining experience! I came here for a friends birthday and loved it, it really made me feel like I wasn't in Canada anymore instead I was like in Japan or something, very cool dining experience. Portions are quite small they are mainly like little appetizers but it was good! If recommend this place for people looking for a new dining adventure.
