Dimplex North America Ltd was founded in 1991 when several existing companies, Electromode, Sentinel, Chromalox and Westcan came together to form Dimplex North America Ltd. To serve Dimplex’s American customers, they have functioning 218, 000 square foot facility, that is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Part of Dimplex’s work is New product development, which aims at developing innovative heating products. Some products that have been developed in this program includes, the patented electric flame technology which allowed Dimplex to become leading competitors in electric fireplaces that looks like real wood burning. Dimplex has paved the way for 30 innovations to be patented in the area of electric flame technology. Dimplex North America participated in the Hearth Patio and Barbecue Expo and blew away the competition by showcasing their cordless electric flame, the first of its kind in the world. Dimplex also made the award winning PowerChef electric grill which was recognized at the 2008 Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Expo in Atlanta, Georgia.
