[br/] [br/]I am an experienced, creative teacher with a individualized approach to music learning. I teach piano and theory up to any level. I am experienced in guiding students through the criteria to earn high school credits. I have taken many students through the exam process, some of whom have won medals. I've coached students through scholarship auditions and several have won and performed publicly.[br/] [br/]
[br/] [br/]I don't feel exams are necessary for every student. Some prefer to work on their own or go through the graded repertoire without exams. There's a new system called Contemporary Idioms now available, and I also enjoy teaching improvisation and jazz.[br/] [br/] [br/] [br/]I teach beginner guitar, laying down a solid base in note-reading, tab and chording. JH Studio has another instructor who is very experienced with the more advanced guitar students.[br/] [br/]
