Ekko Cabinetry

Great design team, but loads of manufacturing defects. Cabinets made by Norcraft, out of Winnipeg. Streaky, runny lacquer jobs, rough laminate, pieces wrong size, wrong colour shade, etc. Filler pieces not square, so entire bank of cabinets installed out of square, making counter install difficult. Huge holes for plumbing, and washers used to cover extra wide holes for drawer fronts. Ekko insisted on installing when we complained about the quality at the outset. 6 months later, and with some pieces being reordered 3, 4, or even 6 times, they still weren't defect-free. The 6th set of gables came with full length strips of laminate visible through the lacquer. Ekko wanted to order a 7th set. They know you're going to give up in frustration at some point. And you've given them 90% up-front.As representatives of Norcraft, Ekko should take responsibility for these issues. Oddly enough, they've now switched to another manufacturer. Too late for us!
