Noble Transportation located in Uxbridge Ontario, has prided itself on supplying quality transportation services since 1928.
While the Noble 1947 Reo is now only donated for duties in Uxbridge parades, this work horse had handed over today's trucking duties to Noble's fleet of new trucks. Ken Noble started Noble Transport in October, l928. The first truck was a 1928 Chevrolet 4-cylinder, single wheels on the back, with a 12- foot stake and rack, 2 wheel brakes on the back only. There were gravel roads all the way from Uxbridge to Toronto. P.C.V. licences started in 1929. Ken Noble applied and received an A,C and H. He bought 2 new trucks in 1929 and transported potatoes to Toronto and mixed freight out of Toronto. Requests for loads out of Toronto were coordinated by Jack Fraser at his first clothing store on Danforth Avenue, Toronto.
