If they're not operating out of love and respect and goodwill towards you, their opinion is a reflection of their own limitations and fears - life is always up and down. The key is to make the most of the ups and accept and don't get too attached to the downs. Use the downs to do the drudge work and get organized so you can ride the next wave as brilliantly as possible when it comes.
