RESIDENTIAL SERVICE : 1) Weed between the cracks. Any weeds growing in the cracks are weeded out by hand. Dead leaves are also removed. This process ensures that the crack filler penetrates the entire crack. 2) Sweep the cracks. To remove any residual dust or residue that will keep the crack filler from adhering, each crack is brushed clean. 3) Sweep the entire driveway. Similar to step 2, the entire driveway is swept clean of any dust or residue that will interfere with the sealant. 4) Blow clean entire driveway. A high-powered blower is used to clean the driveway. This ensures that any blades of grass or particles of dust that were not picked up during sweeping are removed. 5) Tape adjoining property. Adjoining property (e.g. interlock, garage doors, etc.) is methodically and thoroughly taped to protect them from being soiled by the sealant. 6) Spray the sealant. A high quality driveway sealant is then generously sprayed all over the driveway to penetrate the asphalt. During the sealing additional steps are taken to protect adjoining property.
