Description
We install all types of masonry units.
Bricks - Depending on the look you would like, you can choose from traditional red bricks to black bricks with died brown mortar joints. Post and detailed brick work take more time and can cost slightly more but provide a custom look. While straight walls with little detail are much easier to build and will be less expensive. Bricks will need a foundation or footing to be laid on. If a footing is not already available we can discuss your options.
Cultured Stone - There are many different types of cultured stone with advantages and disadvantages of each. Cultured stone can be laid on a wood frame house, concrete, or block work. No footing is required. Depending on the type of stone (they vary in price) and whether or not the stone has joints will affect the price. There are some pictures and stone selection on www.culturedstone.com
Real Stone - The two major differences in types of real stone. One is thin cut stone 2” thick. It is stuck onto a wood house, concrete, or block work, just like cultured stone. Other thicker stone, 4”+ is laid similarly to bricks and require a footing. There is a large range of different types of stone, from granite in all colour types, to natural stone to river rock. Pricing depends on a large number of factors, and can vary significantly.
Blocks - Structural reinforced blocks, to split faced blocks for fences.
Concrete Forming - If you plan to build masonry units somewhere that does not have a concrete footing or foundation, we can quote the footing with the rest of the job.
Other Work - Stair treads, tile work, re-pointing/repairs, and demolition of masonry work
We will always give the most competitive price possible. Projects with long straight walls and little cutting required will significantly reduce the cost of labor per sq/ft.
