Humblepie
142 James Street North,Business details
Description
Established June 21st, 2011; we opened our doors for the first time in the early evening of Summer Solstice.
Humblepie’s Emporium and Design Studio is a eco-creative marketplace for cleverness & whimsy, offering local fine art & re-worked jewelry, artisan-painted solid wood furniture and upcycled/re-purposed home & garden accessories. We offer custom, artisan-painted furniture and a wide variety of creative workshops. We are passionate about creative sustainability and by breathing new life into items destined for the landfill, we can all help to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
The second Friday of every month brings the infamous James St. North Art Crawl. This self-guided festivity celebrates the boundless creativity of our arts and design community. Occurring year round, the street fills with hundreds of people in winter and swells to several thousand during the summer months. There are buskers and artists & indie pop up shops selling their wares. The art galleries have their new exhibits in place and many studios open their doors to the public for tours. The cafes, restaurants and little bars are bustling and the interesting, creative retail stores stay open until after 11 pm.
