Essentially, we focus to treat an individual as just that, an individual. We review not only your examination results, but also how these findings relate to your life and what is important to you. Lifestyle considerations are vital in ensuring that you not only have healthy sight, but that it is maximized to your individual needs.
The optometrists at Prairie Vision Centre strongly believe in the benefits of early diagnosis. As a result, we continue to bring big-city services to our small town. This means that you have access to technological advances and the benefits of personal recognition. We are proud to have been the recipients of the Wainwright Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2006 and to see our own Diane Graham honored as Employee of the Year in 2009. We thank our many patients who submitted wonderful recommendation letters. In 2010 Maire Axley was nominated for Employee of the year. Today, our team of 12 has over 120 years of combined eye care experience. Most of our team are accredited Optometric Assistants. We continue to upgrade our knowledge by attending continuing education seminars throughout Canada as well as internationally. Drs. Jones-Greenwood and Laturnas have also travelled the continent to increase their breadth of knowledge and continue to surpass the minimum required number of hours for licensure. Prairie Vision Centre is a proud founding member of Doctors Eyecare Network. This now-national organization of optometric offices permits us to offer improved pricing on products to our patients, as well as enhance our business knowledge. In 2009, Prairie Vision Centre also became one of the initial members of Diamond DEN, a subdivision of Doctors Eyecare committed to enhanced practice.
