Talk to the Future SHD Inc offers a range of Child and Family services including Special Communication Home Daycare, Parent Education courses and workshops, and Respite Services.
We strive to provide the best possible alternative to a parent's home. We aim to educate and allow children to grow and learn to their full potential. We aim to instill the values of compassion, respect, and acceptance into each of our program children. We feel that by providing children with a means of communication regardless of vocal ability, and by supplementing language skills with other tools where they may otherwise be lacking, that children will thrive and prove to us that they are ready to take on the future. Children are the future and so it is our responsibility as parents and caregivers to allow them the opportunity to grow and succeed in the best possible environment that we can provide. Our daycare programs are designed to teach children how to be independent, how to communicate their wants and needs, and provides them a safe environment for exploring and learning new skills. We hope to be expanding our home-based daycare locations near June 2013. In our Parent Education courses and workshops, you can learn a variety of topics including American Sign Language courses geared to babies toddlers and special needs children, alternative Communication Strategies, useful parenting tools and techniques including Visual Strategies and Calming techniques and many more. Monthly sessions will commence January 2013 and special workshops are available by request. Respite Services are available to parents of special needs children, Children with senior adults requiring some companionship, and parents with special needs requiring a little assistance with their children. Keep watch for meet and greets in your area for Respite Services. Our company mission is to change the way people look at care, and to change the standard of care expected from providers.
