Monaghan Cafe

Monaghan Cafe is my favourite breakfast stop in the city. We used to live just down the road, but even now that we're in the country, we still drive in on occasion to have breaky. It's that good. It's just a little place, but you can usually manage to get a table. The price is good, the service is efficient, the decor is pleasant and the food is FANTASTIC! The home fries are totally yummy. They make a seriously good Spanish omelette and my husband always gets the eggs Benedict. The eggs Benedict are really good here and cost less than other places. Some breakfast places are real greasy spoons, but the Monaghan Cafe has a bit of a bistro flavour that puts it a cut above the rest. They offer lunch and dinner too, I believe, but I haven't had the opportunity to try it. They are closed on Mondays.
