Transcona Library has a well developed collection for both adults and children, consisting of fiction and non-fiction items, as well as some audiovisual material. Strong collections of music on CD are available.
Transcona Library circulates close to 200,000 items per year. Current top movers are mysteries, do-it-yourself books, picture books and paperbacks. A strong rapport with the schools in the area and children's programming helps build and maintain interest in the children's collections. Transcona Library provides free public access to the Internet and Library databases. A workstation offering Microsoft Word is also available.
