Adventurers Child Care Centre is an inclusive child care centre. Each child is given the opportunity to grow and develop in a safe and healthy environment of honesty, fair play and support. Children are encouraged and given the opportunity to explore themselves and their environment in a supportive and nurturing setting.
At Adventurers Child Care Centre, we believe that children learn best by pursuing their personal interests and goals, and children at Adventurers are encouraged to make choices about materials and activities throughout the day. As they pursue their choices and plans, children explore, ask and answer questions, solve problems, and interact with classmates and adults. Teachers and caregivers participate as partners in children's activities rather than relate to children primarily as instructors or supervisors. Our teachers stress positive interaction strategies: focusing on children's strengths, forming authentic relationships with children, supporting children's play ideas and adopting a problem-solving approach to social conflict.
