The Boyne Lodge, a 70-bed personal care home, provides long-term care including an adult day program, a respite program and an 11-bed alternative care unit (ACU). Respite is a program for community residents requiring short periods of prearranged admissions into the care home as an essential part of the their continuing care plan, with the purpose of providing relief for the caregiver. ACU provides a separate supportive environment for individuals with cognitive impairment. Boyne Lodge has a very active recreational program with their own handivan which enables residents to attend many outings in Winnipeg as well as in the surrounding communities. Boyne Lodge is attached to Boyne Towers, a seniors' apartment complex with 36 single suites and four double suites.
Currently, the Boyne Lodge and nearby Carman Memorial Hospital employ approximately 190 staff.
