Description
Alberta Massage Training is celebrating it’s tenth anniversary in 2011 as a leader amongst massage therapy schools Alberta. We pride ourselves in teaching our graduates how to be successful in the workplace. Our principal graduated from the Northern Institute of Massage in 1990, and practiced massage therapy until founding the school in 2001.
Our instructors are all practicing therapists in the communities in which they teach. They are committed to passing their knowledge, as well as the practical skills they have honed in their many years of practice. Our school was first established in Grande Prairie, Alberta; since then, we have expanded to Keyano College in Fort McMurray, University of Alberta in Edmonton, St. Mary’s University College in Calgary, and to 4920-50th Street in Lloydminster.
We offer two programs in Massage; Swedish Relaxation (900 hours), and Massage Therapy (1300 hours). This allows for a total of 2200 hours, which is the standard generally accepted across Canada.
Our courses are part time in class and part time home study, with online support and access to their instructors during the time away from class. This allows for the student have more control over which hours they study, and consequently to fit the course into their present lifestyle.
We have one administrative office in Grande Prairie, allowing us to have less over head and in return pass the savings on to you.
You can be assured that upon graduating from our school, that you will have the ability to provide a professional, effective massage, that will allow you to be successful in the profession of massage therapy. We are your massage therapy school.
