Amazon Hardwood Centre

Stay away! My parents bought 900 sq. ft. of hardwood from this company. Despite the hardwood being of rustic grade, the salesman convinced my parents that this was a premium hardwood on sale. The hardwood on display was VERY nice, so they happily paid for the entire batch. What was delivered was DIFFERENT! At least 1/3 of the boards had flaws and over 20% were complete waste no matter how you try to use them and how tolerant you are to defects (different width, holes, lack of finish, lack of locks, deep knots, warped boards etc). Our contractor refused to work with it… The company refused to exchange the product claiming that it was perfect for it’s grade and that “only 3% seems to be wastage, which is normal” (quoting their inspector). We asked for their crew to install the hardwood, and the crew came about 15-20% short due to wastage despite using every piece that could be installed (and the company’s claim that only 3% was bad)
