Hello, Thirty five years ago on December 20, 1980, my husband John and I received an Electrolux vacuum from my parents as a wedding gift. This was a wonderful gift but doubly so as my parents were not wealthy. I am dedicated to the Electrolux brand. I have had maintenance done regularly by an Electrolux dealer, and have always used brand bags and filters. I have babied this machine. In thirty five years I have had to replace the hose and wand handle when it wore out, have had the bushings done during a tune up, and had the motor replaced once when my husband used the machine to vacuum up water! This has been a wonderful vacuum, but after thirty five years the motor still turns when it is turned off. I am hoping it can be repaired but it may now be time to replace my baby. I just wanted to let you know how hard working and durable your product is. Thank you,Marjo Palmer
