Litigation We represent individuals and businesses involved in a wide variety of civil litigation cases including commercial and contractual disputes, motor vehicle and personal injury claims, negligence, collections, property disputes, estate disputes, foreclosures, oil and gas disputes, construction and builders' liens, malpractice claims, residential and commercial landlord and tenant issues and shareholder disputes. We have appeared in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and the Court of Appeal of Alberta, as well as the Federal Court of Canada (Trial Division). We have also been involved in various arbitrations, mediations and the Energy Resource Conservation Board process. Family Law: We assist our clients in dealing with a broad spectrum of issues including separation, cohabitation, divorce, matrimonial property, common law relationship issues, prenuptial agreements and support issues. Real Estate: We have represented sellers, purchasers and lenders in a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout Alberta, including refinancing, homes, condominiums, farmland, acreages, apartments, hotels, office buildings, shopping centres, land assemblies and joint ventures. Wills and Estates: We have prepared Wills, Personal Directives and Enduring Powers of Attorney to assist our clients with their estate planning requirements. We also handle estate matters including Applications for Probate of a Will and Letters of Administration. Business: We represent a variety of clients who carry on business as companies, partnerships or as sole proprietors. We handle incorporations, purchases and sales of businesses, shareholder agreements, and a variety of other services generally required by our business clients.
