The Greenwood Hotel/Motel is located on two acres of prime greenery: rolling lawn, healthy trees and shrubs, a spacious clean and quiet, beautiful setting. It borders on the Waterford River and Falls and sits between two the two cities of St. John's and Mount Pearl.

Entertainment The Garden is available for BBQs and family gatherings where you can enjoy the great view and scenery round about. Sit under a tree and read a book or just have some relaxing time - it's a great to be if you want to be alone. Fresh water swimming is available and families can sit on the deck and talk while watching the children swing and slide or run through the sprinkler getting wet for some fun. There is live entertainment on special occasions in the summer and if guests want to do some socializing and have a game of pool, play the lottery machines, shuffle board, darts or have a few refreshments... the place to be is the lounge. Our Beautiful Surroundings The surroundings offer a rolling lawn among mature trees beside a rushing river, a babbling trout-filled brook (licensed fishing allowed) and a gushing falls. Walking , bicycling, hiking and cross country skiing trails extend for miles through both cities via the old railroad bed which has been restored to quiet beauty since the trains were replaced by trans-island buses in the '70s. Across the street is Sobey's Shopping Mall with it's six cinemas. Walk up the road to church or visit Donovan's/St. Anne's Industrial Parks. Downtown St. John's is only a 10 minute drive..
