Tora Tattoo was established in 1994 by long time artist Jamie Izumi. Prior to his opening of a public tattoo studio, Jamie began winning awards for his work; this began in New York State in 1993 at the Am-Jam tattoo convention. His awards and accomplishments were the beginning drive to his career and life in tattooing. Since then, he has attended and worked at countless conventions throughout North America and by doing so has gained many friends colleagues and peers across the industry, alongside with winning many more awards for his work. Through the years Tora Tattoo has held a high standard for its quality of tattoo work and body piercing. To this day only a select few can be the diverse, talented and reliable artists that you will find here at tora. We strive to always be educated and informed with what’s new and up and coming in the tattoo/piercing industry. Educating ourselves is the first step in providing the best and safest tattoo or piercing for our clients. We here at Tora believe that the specific skills and knowledge involved with body piercing are art forms in themselves. With the vast education, hands on experience and a keen eye to detail our piercer has all of the tools needed to make every clients experience safe and enjoyable. With using the highest standard jewelry currently available there is neither compromise nor corners cut to provide the best possible piercing. In recent years we have firmly established our place in the professional tattoo laser removal field. There is only one way to do this; and as we see it, doing it the right way is the only way. We have two certified laser specialists available. They are trained on all types of lasers, specifically the Q-Plus series laser used for our tattoo removal. Our laser and facility is fully “Compliant ready” for future licencing that will soon be implemented and mandatory.
