A GREAT rural shelter. Has large communal cat rooms and a separate kitten room so cats don't have "to live in cages." Regular volunteers help socialize and care for the cats. Dogs have very clean kennels, plus grass runs for socializing and a phenomenal dog walking program 7 days/week. There are always many great animals available for adoption, and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, etc. Adoption fees are less than most other SPCA shelters, AND less than if you adopted a free pet and had to pay the vet costs yourself! So...opt to adopt! (Donations are tax-deductible and volunteers are always needed...and not just for help with the animals!)
