Description
Fox's Den is located on Dog Lake at the northwest end of beautiful Lochalsh Bay, 12 miles (by boat) from the nearest road. The lodge is surrounded by acres of forested hills and overlooks miles of clear, clean water.
Adjacent to the north, is the vast Chapleau Game Preserve, (the largest in the western hemisphere), a haven for bear, moose, and smaller wildlife. To the south, Manitou Mountain, with numerous rock ledges and vistas - even an abandoned gold mine.
Hikers can follow miles of trail to enjoy the scenic splendor; a land of majestic pines and birches, clearwater lakes, creeks, and potholes. Beaver dams, unusual rock formations, numerous birds and animals and a profusion of wildflowers will delight the naturalist.
