Dunromin Cottages By The Lake is located on the south shore of Canal Lake and is only an hour and a half drive north from Toronto. The lake is a peaceful, scenic lake with locks, dams and swing bridges.
Canal Lake is great for fishing with many shoals and bottom features that provide habitat for walleye, bass, pike, muskie and more. Kirkfield is the nearest village with historic brick homes lining the main street. The Kirkfield lift lock (second highest in the world) takes you to Mitchell Lake, then to Balsam Lake via canal. We offer 7 self-catering cottages all equipped with private bathrooms, stoves, refrigerators, propane heat, microwaves, satellite and all the cooking utensils. All cottages are equipped with their own BBQ. Our cottages provide guests with free use of paddle boats and canoes. Our motor boats and pontoon boats are available for rent.
