Description
Since 1988, IVF Canada has been a leading, independent and highly accessible surgical facility specializing in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) to treat infertility in both females and males. Our experienced physician team is affiliated with Toronto East General Hospital and was responsible for establishing the LIFE program in 1983, Canada’s first infertility program. We have completed many ‘firsts’ in in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, including the first IVF baby in our nation. We strive to provide quality reproductive medical services using the latest advanced technology. Accredited by the Canadian Council of Health Canada, our clinic caters to the growing demand for IVF services and significantly reduces the wait time for couples requiring treatment.
IVF Canada is highly experienced in treating a number of conditions associated with infertility. For our female clients, these include blocked fallopian tubes obstructing the pathway from the ovary to the uterus, and abnormal ovulation caused by hormone imbalances. There may also be complications in the uterus caused by endometriosis, cervical mucus barriers or hostility to sperm, or non-malignant tumours. The age of the female partner is also taken into consideration, as this can have a significant impact on fertility. Conditions faced by our male clients include low sperm count, low sperm motility, and decreased morphology of the sperm head. A failed reversal vasectomy can also be a factor in infertility. We provide treatment options that are most suitable for each individual case, many of which are covered by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) funding. While we do provide IVF as a way to overcome infertility, we also provide other effective means of treatment such as artificial insemination.
Our team of professionals have had significant success rates with IVF cycle treatments, which are mainly completed through frozen embryo transfers. The age of the female partner is a significant factor in effective embryo implantations. From January to June 2014, approximately 80% of our clients successfully reached the gestational stage of pregnancy.
Our clinic understands the physical and emotional challenges endured by individuals facing infertility. We maintain high ethics in our practice and ensure that our clients are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and confidentiality through the entire treatment process. We also provide special fertility assisted programs for low-income, uninsured, and/or advanced age clients. With our expertise and strong team of physicians, IVF Canada continues to demonstrate excellence in the field of reproductive technologies to assist couples in successfully creating families.
