Paderno Factory Store

I received a set of cooking utensils for Christmas with a gift receipt that was dated from September. Since I already have several utensils, I called Paderno and asked whether they would still be willing to exchange the items for something I needed. They said that would be fine, so we drove across the city to choose something else. Once I was inside the store, they suddenly informed me that they would only exchange my item for the current sale price (a significant post-Christmas discount), even though the item had obviously been purchased at full price several months before. I was annoyed but exchanged my item for something worth about half the value. The items seem to be good quality, but frankly, many places carry Paderno brand and there are lots of specialty kitchen shops in Saskatoon that provide much better customer service. We will not be returning to this store.
