Limited scope representation is a more affordable way to hire a lawyer; it describes when a lawyer is hired to perform some but not all of the tasks associated with the legal matter. For example the lawyer may prepare court documents for the customer and the customer takes on the task of appearing in docket court. Another example is when the lawyer is hired to take on the more complex tasks in a legal matter while the customer takes on the simpler tasks. With limited scope representation the customer and lawyer work together; the customer is a direct participant. eLaw Alliance practices virtual law, that is, we utilize current technologies and online tools to deliver legal services in a fashion unlike most law firms in Alberta.
