Description
As your therapist, I will strive to create an accepting, nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which change feels possible and becomes reality.
I have three University degrees in the fields of Psychology and Social Work from the University of Alberta, University of Manitoba and McMaster University. I integrate both professional counselling for individuals, couples, and families, in addition to facilitating workshops with small to large sized groups in the areas of organizational enhancement, change management, human resources, and conflict resolution using a personality theory called Colour Spectrums.
I have been told that I have well accepted and a results oriented approach with my clients. This approach moves beyond the conventional session structure providing you, the client, a greater opportunity to utilize the tools and insight gained in each session.
My goal for clients is to move through counseling in the most efficient way without a requirement for long-term, ongoing therapy. My methods will give you the opportunity to become free of the chronic stress and emotional drain of the issues that you are facing. The solution focused approach helps you to resolve issues and move forward to fully enjoy life and life purpose.
I am a Gottman Method couples Therapist and use well researched interventions and strategies to help you regain the positive qualities of your relationship in an unbiased and comfortable atmosphere.

Many have found Mediation with trained counsellors extremely helpful to minimize the possible negative impact of legal separation/divorce processes. It is faster, unbiased and helps you as parents maintain a focus on the needs and healthy development of your children through this life change. I have also been trained as an assessor and counsellor for Parent Alienation Syndrome.
I specialize in Anger Management counselling with individuals and groups. Individual sessions can be catered to your personal need or you can participate in a one day workshop which, upon successful completion can result in a certificate of participation.
I have a personal background in sport development and training in sports psychology, which I integrate into my counselling by providing guidance and tools to address sport anxiety. I have provided successful guidance to athletes in our community to overcome fears and perform at their optimum using techniques such as Visualization, Hypnotherapy, Narrative therapy.
I am a Certified Ages and Stages Child Development Assessor, and can assist parents to identify concerns both emotionally and developmentally with their children. I have an integrated team approach and with the support from team Psychologists can offer children and families a variety of services to address an assortment of concerns that have arisen from the assessment/screening.
