Family Genealogy

Description

I am driven by a passion for history and the people who created it. I love to sift through old records and photographs, maps, diaries and the like in order to understand the lives of the people whose lives are expressed in the historical record. To me, history is the compilation of individual lives and it doesn't matter if those people were rich, famous, pauper or poet. Everyone who lived has contributed to history... we may just not know about them yet.
My goal is to put together the details and stories of the life of a person, family or population so that we understand the world in which these people lived and to develop a sense of who they were in life, as well as the impact on the people around them. A person doesn't need to have been famous in order to have had an impact on the lives of the people around them. None of my ancestors were famous but their choices have had an impact on my life and on who I am today. That's what I'd like to pass on to future generations in my family. There are all kinds of people mentioned in the historic record. Nowhere near all of them have made it into the history books. That doesn`t mean they were not important. If you want information about a person, family or group of people, I would be honoured to work with you to find the records and prepare presentation materials with which to share the information we find.
