Description
Attending Laurentin University for an Hon. B.A. in law and political science from 1982-1986 and Brock University for a grad diploma in public administration from 1987-1988, it was not long before I began practising as a paralegal in an unofficial capacity. This was at a time when paralegals were unlicensed and pushing the boundaries of what was previously accepted in the legal system.
My first office was opened in 1992, right next door to the small claims court office in Kitchener.
In 1998, I began franchising with offices in Hamilton, St. Catharines and eventually ten locations in southwestern Ontario.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Law (LL.b.) degree from the University of London, England in 2010. This degree is recognized throughout the 'Common Law' world and is from one of the top ranked law schools in the United Kingdom.
This experience has given me an in-depth knowledge and understanding of common law (tort, restitution and contract) far beyond the standard in the paralegal industry.
Now focused on civil litigation, I thrive on difficult and challenging cases.
I am happy to continue assisting clients in a variety of other areas, including administrative tribunals (LTB, WCB etc.), criminal and provincial offences (HTA, POA and CCC).
