Simax Fishing Rods
90 Nolan Crt,Business details
Description
The LOCA TS rods are designed for a certain fishing technique such as drop shotting, jerk baiting and skipping. Again using the highest end graphic and components as the traditional LOCA’s leaves us with light but powerful blanks. Each rod model has unique characteristics to enhance the specific
technique. Simax rod designer notes: “We have been challenged by the pro staff team to think outside the box and produce a rod that is like no other. With a blend of materials and hyper actions we pushed the boundaries of rod building but the result is like no other.”
LOCA TS Drop Shot Rod
This 6 foot 10 inch rod has a carbon fiber hyper tip which is similar to a strike indicator. Backbone starts high in the blank and balance is excellent. This rod is the lightest in the line and one of the most sensitive you’ll ever use. The hyper tip not only allows you to see the strike but it also allows the bait to get deep into the fish’s mouth for better hookups.
LOCA TS Great Lakes Drop Shot Rod
This rod comes in at 7 foot 2 inches and is similar to the LOCA TS Drop shot rod but with maximum power. This power is needed for deep water applications such as the great lakes, thus the name. With 4 addition inches the objective is to make up the line stretch and slack when fishing with 40+ feet of line out.
LOCA TS Jerk Bait/Topwater Rod
The TS jerk bait rod has specific characteristics which were difficult to find in other models. The angler has to be able to make very long casts, be able to work the baits all day without fatigue and keep small hooks from pulling out of fish. We believe this blank achieves all the above. Traditional guides also allow the angler to run a knots through the guides and not get hung up.
LOCA TS Skipping/Spooning Stick
A skipping stick needs to be powerful to be able to pull fish from under cover but flexible enough to be able to cast weightless baits. These two requirements came from the pro staff alone with the need to be in a short frame for underhand casts (aka skipping). You’ll find that this rod feels light but don’t let that fool you as the power is hidden until you’re fighting a fish and that is exactly what an angler wants.
