The school was born to provide an education alternative to those young people who are struggling to succeed in the standard school system and require an individualized learning environment.
Here we set a bar for all kids, and they are treated equally. They are taught to own their education and take responsibility for their life, no matter what their past held. We stress that each day is a new day with a new set of choices. The students learn that their opinion is valid, and that their dreams are driven by the need to express those opinions; they comprise the force that changes their world. We teach them that life offers challenges; some disguise themselves as obstacles and others as blessings, but both are opportunities to shine. Recognizing that there are options above and beyond what our traditional school setting offers, is your first step. The next is discovering what else is available and deciding if it would provide you with the skills you need. Our approach is similar to home schooling, in that the learning is done in a relaxing environment, where each student advances at his or her own pace with individualized instruction. This year is our 11th helping students succeed, and we continue to offer both in-class and outdoor experiential courses including the first Equine Studies credits in Ontario since 2001.
