Minerva'S Restaurant

When I am in Kitsilano, my family and I often go to Minerva's for the baked lasagne, Caesar salad and pizza. The baked Lasagne is very good. The noodles are not too dry or heavy, the cheese melts in your mouth and the meat sauce is tasty (not too spicy or bland). Depending on the day and time, service varies from satisfactory to very good. For dine-in, I prefer going on a Tuesday or Wednesday night when the restaurant is not too busy or full (the staff is also a bit more relaxed and friendly). During the busier days, I usually order pizza for pickup, as Minerva's offers a 10% discount. The pizzas are delicious and similar to the pan pizzas from Pizza Hut, before PH changed to cheaper, generic tasting dough. My favourite is the BBQ Chicken pizza with red onion, broccoli and cheddar cheese (chicken is tender, not dry and the sauce is the right mixture of tomatoes and spices). Overall, Minerva's is a great Mediterranean-styled restaurant that offers affordable Greek and Italian food.
