BUY - Common Sort offers a great selection of hand-picked quality new and used clothing, shoes, belts, purses, hats and other accessories in a clean and well organized environment. Because we buy directly from our customers our prices remain low and our stock is constantly changing. Come in often to see new items we put out daily.
SELL - Bring in your former favourites for one of our buyers to go through. We pick out what we like or need and determine Common Sort's retail price of those items. Of that price you can receive 25% in cash or cheque on the spot! You must have valid ID (e.g. driver's license, passport, etc.) for selling and must be at least 18 years of age. TRADE - Instead of taking cash for your items, you can opt for store credit and receive double the value. We give you 50% of what we would sell your items for in the store. You can use your trade certificate immediately or save it for use within the year - a better value for those bargain hunters!

I hope this store does well because Parkdale would benefit 'COMMON SORT' is a brilliant name; love the sparse interiors Keep it that way! Less is more... It does not exclude which is key to bringing in a new community- inspired enterprise. Trying for a Canadian 'Buffalo Exchange'(US chain of stores that buy and sell used clothing). Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be enough 'trendy youngsters' or mid-aged folk looking for that certain vintage bag to wear with their Club Monaco black and white outfit- not in T.O (yet) Can't say it was worth attempting to sell my near new brand name clothing and a couple vintage items; Refused most, offered VERY little cash. They encourage trade as it is obviously more beneficial to them. Until they are able to buy less conservatively; they will not acquire the traffic needed to keep the word of mouth going about this merchandising concept that will hopefully take off. I will continue to visit this store and hope they start selling some sports wear & kid's clothes...
