With over 10 years experience in the construction industry I understand sharing yourself emotionally can be intimidating. Offering my clients a safe place to express the effects of compressed schedules, long working hours, little to no emotional support; we work together to understand developed coping skills such as substance consumption, emotional outbursts, depression, and anxiety, and help clients develop more internal support systems for dealing with this thing we call construction.
Construction is a demanding job, long hours, inappropriate communication techniques, short schedules and excessive demands. Understanding that it is okay to experience yourself emotionally is the first step to helping individuals move through the mental healing process. We are excited to be offering "Counselling Through Movement" in either a group or individual setting. Individually we get out and go for a walk and talk, as a group we work on some beginner yoga poses, or low impact cardio.
