I used to be super negative and pessimistic, you know, glass half empty kind of person. Working 40 hour weeks to only have enough for only SOME of my bills while accruing debt every month because my income simply wasn't enough for me to live the way I wanted to.
I dropped out of college after my first semester and have never really known what I wanted to do with life. I just knew I wanted to help people, but school wasn't paying the bills so I chose to work. I've had tons of jobs and either got let go or just didn't show up because there was no PASSION in what I was doing. Xavier came into the picture and I knew I never wanted to have to say NO to him because we "can't afford it". I went on maternity leave and found It Works when he was about a month old. I couldn't really afford to start my business, but my credit card bill was already high so I said "what's another $130?" I had no idea what I was doing when I started, I just knew I wanted to stay home with my baby and I'd do whatever it took. Well, since then, I've promoted 3 times and earned a $2k bonus which has allowed us to pay off credit cards, save a little extra, take care of monthly bills, have a family vacation and get the things I want when I want to spoil myself!
