I am an experienced tutor, OCT certified teacher, and a former professional engineer.
I love learning and I love teaching. I studied mechanical and aeronautical engineering. I worked as a consulting engineer in the renewable energy sector for 7 years. Throughout that time, I tutored high school and post-secondary students until I decided to get my education degree. I now have three years of experience as a high school math and science teacher. I have the training as a professional teacher; which gives me an awareness of the curriculum and experience working with different students’ learning needs and learning styles. I have the experience of a professional engineer; which allows me to connect the curriculum to many practical applications. I can help with any math course from grade 7 to 12, high school general science, and high school physics. Rates are negotiable. The rate goes down if we do multiple hours at a time or if we can work in small groups of two or three students. References and police background check can be provided upon request.
