We got our start as a one-woman operation–just me, cleaning strata common areas (foyers, hallways and stairwells, elevators, stuff like that) seven years ago. It was just supposed to be a part-time job, but as time went by word spread and there was soon too much for just one person. So I convinced my twin sister to quit her job and come work with me.
The two of us continued to take on work. Soon tenants, happy with the work we were doing for strata, began to ask us if we did housecleaning. Enter person number three–my sister-in-law, who is just about the best house cleaner there is. I’m not kidding. People fight over her. A year ago we decided to get a business number and officially register our business name. Now we’re really in the thick of things, creating business cards, this website, flyers, and it looks like soon we’ll be bringing in more people. We do contract and subcontract work, as well as work on a one-time-only basis and try to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. Need it done only on Wednesdays? Okay. Want all eco-friendly cleaning products? Sure, no problem! Got a special need? Let’s hear it! We’ll do our best for you, as quickly as possible.
