Description
Heritage is a small family-run gallery located in the heart of Old Montreal. Heritage Gallery was founded in 1988 by Kosta Dios, a furrier who has worked in Montreal since 1967. Kosta conceived of Heritage Gallery after he became enamored with the architecture and history of the Old Port, and so he decided to contribute to its revitalization. He wished to combine his appreciation of Native Canadian art, with his experience as a furrier within the Canadian fur tradition.
Heritage Gallery is the result of these distinct interests. Since its inception, Heritage Gallery has become one of the premiere gift stores in the old port. Our collections have grown to include not only native arts and furs, but also quality giftware carefully selected by a knowledgeable staff. We consider our store a cultural cross-road. Together we speak nine languages, and are committed to friendly exchanges with customers from around the world. Heritage is individuals who believe in supporting traditions, have a genuine appreciation of craftsmanship and insist on excellence.
