Keyboard Ventures Music School was first established in Winnipeg in 1992 in the response to the growing awareness to make playing music fun with modern techniques and styles. Music was evolving, as were it’s means, such as the advancements made in keyboards and digital pianos, and the application of computers.
Our commitment is to provide lessons that are customized to suit your needs and keep you or your child interested. The traditional lessons with the teacher, the student and one or two course books is a scene of the past. We believe that lessons should be stimulating, motivating, challenging and even exciting. We understand that it is difficult to learn when one is bored or confined, which is the reason why many students leave music shortly after starting. That is why our programs are structured to introduce you to the basic fundamentals of music, while at the same time teaching songs that you will enjoy, songs you recognize, music that you will want to learn and play. We want to expand an understanding of music that touches upon more than notes on a page, but reach the point where music is meant to be exciting and beautiful to play and listen to.
