Williamson W H & Co Limited
178 Main St,Business details
Description
The red brick building at the corner of Main and Elizabeth Streets, in historic Picton, has been home to the Williamson's Insurance brokerage since 1959. Prior to that, the business had occupied varied locations throughout town since being established by its founder and original owner W. H. Williamson in 1883. One of these sites included the building once used by Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald as his law office.
This year we are celebrating our 128th year of service to the picturesque County of Prince Edward and surrounding Quinte area. Our goal as we entered the new millennium is to continue the tradition of personalized service on which the business was built over a century ago.
The current owner/manager, Frank Wright has six licensed brokers on staff to provide advice, no-obligation estimates and administer existing accounts. As an independent broker, we take pride in representing a variety of stable markets to meet the general insurance needs of clients. We can rate shop for you from within our office. Our regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appointments at other times, easily arranged at your convenience.
